Can I fly my drone now?

A quick check for this hour and the next few, scored against your drone’s limits. Free, no account.

What the check looks at

For the current hour at your chosen altitude it scores sustained wind and estimated gusts against your drone’s rated wind resistance, the chance of rain, temperature against the maker’s range, visibility, the latitude-weighted Kp index and daylight. The worst check decides the colour, and every check shows as a reason chip. Read more about the go/no-go score.

Your location is rounded to a grid of about 5 km before it reaches our server, and nothing is stored.

FAQ

Where does the forecast come from?

Open-Meteo, using the best regional model for your area (ICON-D2, UKV 2 km, AROME or HRRR) and ECMWF IFS elsewhere.

Why does the wind look stronger than my weather app?

Weather apps show wind at 10 m. Your drone flies higher, where the wind is usually stronger. This check uses the model’s wind at your altitude.

Is this enough to decide whether to fly?

It is weather guidance only, not for air navigation. Check official airspace information, your local rules and the conditions you see on site.
